Saturday morning, John and I loaded up the baby and headed to "Sweet Auburn, the Loveliest Village on the Plains" for the Auburn/Ole Miss game. It was a special day. We spent much needed time with friends, we enjoyed amazing tailgate grub, a cold one...or two, and live entertainment, and to top it off, Auburn pulled through with the win. All of these things are high-five-worthy, but what made it so special was the fact that it was our Brooks' first trip to the beautiful campus that I am proud to call my Alma Mater—a place that holds a special place in our hearts.

We had to get a picture with Samford Hall in the background.

I LOVE my family.
Brooks was a total champ. He was very go-with-the-flow the entire day even though we totally threw his schedule out the window on the way down. And John? Sweet John. He should get a Daddy of the Year award for strolling Brooks around for 30 minutes to get him to sleep while I sat in the shade and got to play catch up with my bestie, Feld.

While we were only able to make a day trip out of it and had to forego the game, we are so glad that we went. We love Auburn so much and were thankful to be able to share a piece of it with Brooks. It was refreshing to our hearts!
