on the nice list.

Before making the trek home from the lake, we stopped by to visit Santa Claus!

Brooks asked him for a new bike, Batman legos, and Beyblades. Ann Bennett asked for roller skates, Shopkins, and a Barbie. Camp, well, he didn't ask for anything, but he also didn't cry, so I'd say he made it on the nice list.

Let the Christmas festivities begin!

holiday happenings.

Yesterday was a busy day, but we were left with full hearts by the time our heads hit the pillow at night. Brooks and Ann Bennett performed in their school's Thanksgiving program as a "turkey" and the most precious pilgrim I ever did see. Brooks practiced his speaking part for months and nailed it. We are so proud of him!

"We are so thankful to serve a powerful and awesome God!"

Annie sung her little heart out and gave us all the heart eyes.

Even baby brother was proud of his bigs!

Afterwards, we drove up I-65 for our family pictures with Sunny. Then, we raced home to change and head to the Mouton's house for Friendsgiving 2018. It was so nice seeing old friends and catching up, while gathered around the table. We look forward to it every year!

I feel like the holiday season has officially kicked off! Next up, Thanksgiving!

that farm life.

Tuesday, October 23, 2018

Unfortunately, our weekends this month have been jam-packed or John has been traveling so we more-or-less took going to the pumpkin patch off of our agenda. However, we have the sweetest daddy who last-minute decided to take off work early yesterday afternoon so we could venture to Old Baker Farm and I am so thankful we did. It was the most perfect afternoon on the farm. We, essentially, had the entire place to ourselves so we didn't feel rushed and just basked in all the fall goodness the farm had to offer.

I brought my film camera and I am so glad I did. Here are the scans from our family outing…

P.S. I'm not sure what I love most—the fact that Ann Bennett wore her boots on the wrong foot or that Camp was told he resembled an Oompa Loompa by a few (young) bystanders. HA!

feelin' like fall.

It's starting to feel (and look) like fall around here!

fall festival.

The Fall Festival at Covenant is a day we look forward to every year. Last year, Brooks got sick, so Ann Bennett and Daddy were the only ones able to enjoy it. Luckily, we were all well this year and had so much fun!

The kids rode the train, got their faces painted, played carnival games for candy, jumped around in the bounce house, ate pizza (and Chick-fil-A—thanks, Daddy!), and made beaded bracelets. We had the best time with our friends from school!

Our littlest pumpkin!

That pumpkin booty. I couldn't help myself! #sorrynotsorry

little helper.

Thursday, October 5, 2017

Ann Bennett has been the best helper lately. She picks up her toys without being prompted and loves to help me cook dinner. Today she helped me rearrange the pumpkins on the front porch and fold laundry. All the heart eyes for this cutie!
