I am so proud of our girl, as of late. She didn't miss a beat and jumped right into kindergarten at Shades Cahaba. She has had a great attitude and smile on her face since day one. Not only is she having the time of her life, she is excelling and today she brought home a completed gum ball certificate for her good, behavior and academic success. She gets to choose her reward and she decided that she wanted to bring her "Lambie" to school tomorrow to share her with the class. 

She asked that I take this picture of her and send it to Ms. Pace. She responded, "Yay!! So excited to meet Lambie and I'm so proud of her for completing her sticker chart!"

Way to go, Annie! Keep up the hard work!

First day of 2nd Grade for Brooks and Kindergarten for Ann Bennett.

 

Lord, guard their hearts and minds and keep them trusting in You! I give them to You today and every day, trusting them to Your care. Your hands are far better than my own.

*Ann Bennett had the time of her life. She filled me in on her entire day, stating that it was the best day ever. She cannot wait to go back tomorrow! Brooks had a good day, too. He was less enthusiastic, but said that Mrs. Bertram is really nice. We are so grateful!

Things are already looking a little different this year, but we are hopeful for an amazing year of 2nd grade with Mrs. Bertram!

We were sad to say goodbye to Nannie and Pop Pop this morning, but Sis was excited to meet Mrs. Gladney, who is filling in for Ms. Pace for the first few days of school, and see her classroom.

Last day of Covenant Day School Kindergarten and Twos for Ann Bennett and Camp. Such a bittersweet day saying goodbye to our sweet school and teachers. I cannot believe how much they have grown in nine short months. My heart can't take it!

And not quite how we anticipated Brooks' first year at Shades Cahaba Elementary to end, but it was a sweet year nonetheless. We are so proud of our Brooks!
