a win in my heart.

We try to make it to at least one football game every season. It's a weekend we really look forward to because it's a weekend we get to spend with the Branches and the Herrings. It's become a tradition that leaves each of us with full hearts.

On Friday night we trekked it to Auburn to eat dinner at the Herring's house. The kids had so much fun playing together, John and Will had fun chatting about hunting, and me and my girls had fun catching up...and just plain old being together again.

On Saturday morning we high-tailed it to campus to tailgate.

We had such an eventful and fun morning that by the time the game started Ann Bennett and Brooks were worn out. So worn out that AB slept on my lap almost the entire game!

After the game, we put the kiddos down for bed and headed to the AU Club for dinner.

It was the perfect ending to a pretty perfect weekend. Auburn may have lost the game to Georgia, but this town and these friends always win in my heart!

Last night we had our neighbors over to fellowship and watch the Auburn basketball game. Despite the loss, we had so much fun with our friends and sure are proud of our Tigers!

War Eagle, always!

I can't even describe how good last night was for my soul. I made a quick trip to Auburn to support and encourage my beautiful friend, Ashley, as she shared her redeeming testimony at StoryTellers Live. Bonus that I got to spend the evening with my very bests.

Laughter, and these girls, are the very best medicine. Love them with my whole heart!

Last weekend we went to Auburn to visit with old friends and go to the Auburn v. LSU game. On Friday night, we grilled out with the Branches and the Herrings. The kids had so much fun playing together and catching up and spending time with my girls was so good for my heart.

On Saturday, we tailgated the day away! We got to campus around 10:00. A sitter came around 12:30 to take Camp and Lillie Kate home. After tailgating some more, we went into the game to watch our Tigers play!

The kids only lasted until the 3rd quarter and I don't blame them—it was HOT! So, we headed back to the tailgate for a while then called it a day and headed back to Ashley and Conner's house.

Despite a loss, we still had the best weekend on the Plains with some of our favorite people. I'm so thankful for this weekend with our crew! War Eagle!

This past weekend, my girls and I got away for a couple of nights in Auburn…where it all started for us! I cannot believe that I met Margot, Katie Beth, and Jessica almost FOURTEEN years ago. A lot has changed since Bid Day, especially the city we hold so near and dear, but one thing's for sure—our friendships remain the same and I am so grateful for them.

After checking in to the hotel Friday night, we ate dinner at Ariccia Italian Trattoria & Bar. It did not disappoint! Full and tired, we spent the rest of the evening gabbing in our hotel room. We didn't go to bed until midnight!

The next morning we had a late breakfast at the hotel and spent the rest of the morning shopping and sight-seeing. We grabbed lunch with Felder at Hamilton's then got pedicures at the nail salon.

We stopped by the Phi Mu dorms in hopes to check out the chapter room, but it was a ghost town since most students were still out of town on Spring Break. Bummer!

Saturday night we ate the most delicious meal at Acre. WOW, it was amazing and our friend and Acre owner, David Bancroft, treated us like royalty, bringing out one-of-a-kind appetizers and dessert on the house. We left fat and HAPPY.

Our last morning on the Plains was a good one. We ate brunch at The Depot, strolled around Samford, and drove by Knapp Hall before heading home to our husbands and babies.

It was the perfect weekend and I am so thankful for the refreshing time away. Until next year!
