To say that Brooks had a rough start to school would be an understatement. For six days, there were many tears, the assistant principal would have to pry him off of me during drop-off, and he would spend most mornings with the therapy dogs. But, on day seven, he decided that he would be brave and from that day forward he now walks into school with his head held high.

Shades, the class mascot, took his very first flight home with a friend for the school year, and that friend was Brooks! In the words of Ms. Rienzi, "Our Outstanding Owl this week is Brooks. OO is awarded each week to a friend who stood out for leading, meeting a goal, trying something hard, showing a growth mindset- any and all hard work worth recognizing. Brooks was chosen because he set a goal at the beginning of the week, and he took special steps everyday to ensure he met that goal. His grit and growth mindset are SO worth celebrating. Way to go Brooks- we can't wait to celebrate you all week!"

To say that we are proud, is an understatement!

He got to keep Shades at home for the weekend and had document what they did together. They rope climbed, went for a Gator ride, drank smoothies and ate popsicles, and watched a movie together. He was excited to share their adventures with the class on Monday!

Keep shining your light, Brooks! You bring us so much joy!

Cheers to the weekend from our little sunglass stealer!

their turn.

It's finally their turn! Today, Camp started his very first day of school in the Two's and Ann Bennett started kindergarten at Covenant Day School!

It was a bittersweet morning, as this is the first day of Ann Bennett's last year at Covenant and Camp's first day of school ever, which means I am officially an empty-nester from 9:00-1:00, three days a week. Freedom!

We love this school and cannot wait to see them learn and grow and love Jesus deeper!

We had some of our favorites come help us celebrate our Annie girl...

Nannie and Pop Pop!

We always love our time with them. Especially, the birthday tradition of going to SUMO for dinner.

We hated to see them go, but will see them in just a few short weeks for Labor Day!

fairy good time.

Flutter and twirl with the birthday girl, Ann Bennett is FIVE! We had a fairy good time celebrating our precious AB at her birthday party this morning.

This party was especially special because my girl helped me plan and set it up! She and her friends had fun dressing up like fairies, making fairy dust, and reading a fairy tale.

We are so thankful they poured out their love for her with their presence...and presents!

We love you, Annie B. and are so incredibly grateful for your life!
