little getaway.

We had grand plans to go to Napa this weekend, however, Mother Nature put a wrench in them. Unfortunately, because of the wildfires raging in California, we had to cancel our much anticipated trip. But, because we already had childcare lined up and an open calendar, we decided to head down to Rosemary Beach for a few days to ease the heartbreak and soak up some sun.

The Owens and the Woods joined us and it was definitely a weekend for the books.

 I am so thankful for a little getaway with the best of friends!

solo travel.

I have been doing a lot of solo travel this month. John has been slammed at work, so a couple of weekends ago I loaded up the car and the kids and we headed to the lake for a long weekend.

The following weekend, we headed to the beach with the Bryant and Moore crew...

 

I'd say July was filled with a lot of sun, a lot of swimming, and a lot of sweet time spent with family. We obviously have lake and beach living down pat.
