star light.

Two weeks ago we walked to downtown Homewood for the annual star lighting. The 200 pound star was crafted over sixty years ago and holds 1200 lights. It is quite the sight to see, shining bright over 18th Street. We were excited to join in on the celebration, where hot chocolate and cookies were served and Christmas carols were sung.

As if Brooks wasn't already in heaven, there was a firetruck that made it "snow."

Baby sister wasn't sure what to think about it all.

We love living walking distance from fun traditions in a city that we are proud to call home! Unfortunately, we had to miss out on the Christmas Parade last week because John was feeling under the weather, but we are going to add that on our must-do list next year. Cheers to getting in the Christmas spirit!
