The second to last Friday in November, John and I had a special date with Brooks at the North Pole. Express, that is. We tagged along with the Moore clan to the Heart of Dixie Railroad Museum in Calera for some choo choo train fun. Brooks talked about going to the North Pole all. day. long. When it came time to put on his new Christmas jammies, he was about to burst at the seams with excitement!

However, when we got to the Depot, our timid boy clung on tight to mommy and daddy. But, once we boarded the train and the train started moving it was all fun and games. We listened to a Christmas story, sang carols, high-fived the elves, drank chocolate milk, ate cookies, and met Santa and Mrs. Claus!

Brooks gave the experience a thumbs up…that is, until his photo-op with the jolly man in the red suit.
