cinco de derby.

Yesterday we celebrated one of our favorite days of the year—We Love Homewood Day! Not only was it We Love Homewood Day, but it was also Cinco de Mayo and the Kentucky Derby. We partied from sun up until sun down, quite literally!

After Camp's morning nap, we headed to Central Park with the Moorers for slides, bounce houses, rides, hot dogs and popsicles. The kids had so much fun with their little buddies that by the time we left they were worn slap out.

After naps, we went to a neighbor's house for their annual shrimp boil and to watch the race. When 5:45 rolled around, we walked up to the library to watch the parade. We gathered quite the loot!

After the parade, we had some friends over for tacos and margaritas until it was way past our children's bedtime and our bedtime. It really was the best day, from start to finish. We are so blessed by our community! We truly love Homewood.
