This morning, while lying in bed, Brooks ran into my bedroom to lay with me for a bit. We played several games of tic-tac-toe and he drew some on his notepad. Proudly, he told me that he wrote me a note. I took the pad in my hand and looked at a bunch of scribble scrabble. He then proceeded, "It says, 'Mommy, I love you with all my heart and I want you to play with me forever.'" My heart absolutely melted.
I would say, 2018 is off to a great start.
