the fourth as five.

We boldly loaded up all three kiddos and headed to Lake Oconee for the Fourth of July weekend this year. It just doesn't feel like the Fourth without a trip to the lake, so 2 week old or not, we were making the trip! We had the best time swimming in the Reynold's Landing pool, napping with Pop Pop, fishing, riding the WaveRunner with Daddy, playing at the Lake Club, and going on boat trips with the cousins.

The best part of the trip, for me, was seeing my Gram and having her meet Camp for the first time. There are almost 96 years between these two, as Gram turns 96 on August 24th. I am so thankful she is still here to hold her sixth great grandchild. She is such a blessing to us and this moment was heart-melting magic.

We were home for the actual 4th of July. We had a lazy day, but walked downtown after dinner for the Homewood festivities. The kids had fun jumping around and sliding on the inflatables. It is such a special tradition. Because we had Camp with us this year, we passed on the fireworks, but I was able to watch them from the couch while I pumped. 😏

Happy Birthday, America!
