We went to Duluth again, this year, for Easter. It is always a sweet time visiting family, taking advantage of free babysitters (thank you Nanie and Pop Pop), and celebrating our risen King!

We went to the country club after church for lunch, where Brooks and Ann Bennett met the Easter Bunny for the first time. Brooks was a bit unsure at first, but once he saw his basket full of candy, they became fast friends!

I want my babies to know, however, that while baskets filled with chocolate eggs and a friendly bunny who hands out free candy are fun, those things aren't symbols of Easter. The cross, an empty tomb, and a Savior who paid the price for our sins and brings life are the true symbols of Easter. My prayer is that one day they will fully grasp the reason why and who we celebrate and rejoice in the promise Easter holds for us…eternal life.

Jesus said to her, "I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in me will live, even though he dies; and whoever lives and believes in me will never die. John 11:25-26
