Is there anything better than walking out of school on a Friday afternoon? Yes, there is. Walking out of school on a Friday afternoon knowing that you're about to head to the lake for a long weekend...

It was one of the best Labor Day weekends, to date.

Our cousins came for the day on Saturday. We started our day off in the Trump Boat Parade. WOW, there were so many boats! He definitely has a lot of support on Lake Oconee.

The rest of the day was spent in the lake and was capped off with Rosé, worn out kiddos, and a delicious dinner.

The next morning John took the kids to the tackle shop and they left with a couple of new lures and some new shades.

We spent the rest of the day fishing and swimming off the dock, riding the waverunner, and Brooks and Ann Bennett even gave the knee board a try! They both did amazing and got up on their first try.

We made it a priority to see my Gram this trip. She couldn't figure out how to open her window, so we settled for a door visit. I so wish that I could have hugged her neck!

It was a Labor of love, indeed.
