This morning Brooks had to dress up as a famous American for "Famous American Day" at school. We gave him several options (John was pushing for Davey Crockett), but he wanted to be Walt Disney, so Walt Disney he was!

Each student hopped up on stage and shared with the audience his or her "I am… I can… and I have…"

When it was Brooks' turn, he confidently spoke into the microphone and delivered.

"I am Walt Disney, a pioneer of the American animation industry. I can turn drawings into cartoon films. I have an amusement park named after me called Walt Disney World."

He did an awesome job and this mama is so proud! Good job, buddy!

That's a wrap! Our little baller played his heart out and had such a great first season of basketball. He had so much fun and an amazing attitude every single game.

We are so proud of our Brooks and absolutely loved watching him shine! You've got skills, buddy!

This morning was extra special for me. The kindergarten students treated their mamas to a "Mommy Sweetheart Tea." I must say, I had the sweetest time with my sweetest boy.

We danced, dined, and he sang his little heart out.

I surely felt celebrated and loved!

Brooks and Ann Bennett had their class Valentine's Day parties today at school today. I wanted to snap a picture of them before we loaded up in the car and little brother decided he wanted in on the action, too.

I just love these sweet babies of mine!

100th day of school.

Today was Brooks' 100th Day of School celebration. Our little old man reluctantly had a lot of fun dressing up with his classmates!

He said that when he is 100 years old he will be "old." He will have "gray hair." And he will eat "spinach."

I get a little tearful thinking about his kindergarten days coming to an end!

self-timer.

Sometimes, you gotta set the self-timer and get in front of the lens with your babies.

Well, with two of them. I sure do wish my big buddy wasn't at school when we took these.

Ann Bennett had a lot of fun hitting the shutter on the camera, which moved it, losing focus and a perfectly lined up frame, but I couldn't love these, and her budding heart for photography, more.

These shots definitely encourage me to set up the self-timer more often, especially when the light is that good!
