We closed out 2018 at the beach with Shug, Pops, Uncle Bradley, Aunt Lea, and our cousins. Five days of rest and fellowship is just what my heart and body needed. The weather was a little funky—warm, overcast, with scattered showers—but, that didn't stop us from having one of our most memorable and enjoyable vacations.
We were able to make a trip down to the beach twice, but the majority of our time was spent riding bikes, wandering around Seaside, swimming in the pool at the house, and laying on the couch. I, especially, enjoyed the couch...
Unfortunately, Brooks woke up with an ear infection on our second night and spent the next day in pain, with high fever. Aunt Lea oiled him up good and by day four he was back to his normal self.
John, Lea, Bradley, and I were able to get out of the house on New Years Eve for a bit. It was a treat and we so enjoyed our time with them. I truly am grateful for each and every vacation we were able to go on this year. They are so good for the soul. As I reflect back on this year, I can't help but see God's hand in it all. There were good days and bad days, but He remained faithful through it all. We are truly blessed. Goodbye, 2018. You were a good one!
