boo'd sick.

After the kids enjoyed their baskets on Friday, we ate a quick dinner and put on our Halloween costumes for Boo at the Zoo…along with the rest of Birmingham. We showed up and waited in line for-ev-errrr. When we finally made it into the zoo, we tried to dodge the crowds, to no avail. The candy lines were long, the ride lines were long. We decided to make it a quick trip and hit up every hot spot, except for the train, because, you guessed it, the line was too long.

Brooks had the most fun on the Spider Slide. He was hesitant to ride it at first, but once he did it, he asked to go again. I love how brave he is becoming. The highlight for Ann Bennett was the Elsa cut-out. I can laugh about it now, but there was almost a throw down when Brooks tried to get in the picture with her.

We came, we saw, we trick-or-treated, and boo'd. Despite the crowds and a Red Riding Hood that didn't seem herself, we had a lot of fun. When we pulled into the driveway and I glanced back at Ann Bennett, I noticed she vomited all over herself and the carseat, without a peep. Poor baby girl. It certainly explained a lot!

We will certainly try again next year. On a week night. And hopefully, the stomach bug won't make its appearance.
