Brooks took swim lessons from Mrs. Monica again this year in June and July. I signed him up for three weeks, this year, with three sessions each week. By the end of his third week, he was swimming across the pool, without floaties! We are so proud of our little fish. He struggled the most with taking his face out of the water for a breath, but did an amazing job and was so brave. Especially on the last day when he finally went down the waterslide. Monica is always patient with him, loving and teaching him so well. We cannot wait to take lessons with her, again, next year!

For yet another year, we stayed in town for the Fourth of July weekend. But, we made the most of it and had a grand ol' time. We started the weekend off right: at the pool.

The kids really love swimming this year—both are so brave, especially our fearless Sissy girl. It is the best way to wear them out. Daddy joined us when he got off of work and we all loved that very much. 

On the actual Fourth, we had the Moore's over for dinner, drinks and fun. After we ate, we rode the buggy downtown to the July 4th Festival. There were rides, games, inflatables, and a DJ. The kids had a blast running around with their cousins. We stayed and played until after Thunder on the Mountain, Birmingham's fireworks show at Vulcan Park. We had the best seat in the house!
